Ko Bulon

Ko Bulon is a small island in the South of Thailand. The island lays in the Andaman sea. You can get here from Hat yai, you can take a minivan straight from the airport to the ferry port. When you arrive at the ferry, just check the different offices to book the ticket.

When you arrive with the speedboat you'll notice they can't drop you off at a pier, because this doesn't exist. People will pick you up with a small boat, which cost about 50 baht per person to take you to the beach.
The island has a few accommodations. All of them are not cheap. There is one in the middle of the island, which is a walk uphill. It has some cheaper bungalows.

After walking around and asking prices, we choose Bulon resort. It has bungalows in rows (first row is most expensive). The bungalows do have hot water and it comes with a good breakfast. The beds were comfortable.
If you want to leave the island you can arrange it at the reception. They'll pick you up at a set time.

This small island is not a party island! With the few accommodations and even fewer restaurants it is just a place to relax and snorkel. You can do some hiking inland of the island, but I only walked to the accommodation uphill.

The beaches are stunning! With only a few people staying here you can relax and make some nice beach walks.
When it is low tide, be careful when going in the water. Try not to touch the stones and corals!
I was in a rush to go to the more famous Ko Lipe. I really wish I stayed a bit longer and enjoyed the quiet island.

There are no ATM's here, so make sure you'll have enough money on you.
